Wind warning in effect for:

  • Central Coast – coastal sections

A vigorous frontal system is slowly moving through the region.

Southerly winds of 90 gusting to 110 km/h over the exposed areas of the north coast – coastal sections will persist until near noon.

The front will move onto the central coast this morning and spread southerly winds of 90 km/h to central coast – coastal region. Winds will ease to 40 to 60 km/h this evening as the front moves to northern Vancouver Island.

High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
