Corporate Officer

The Central Coast Regional District is seeking an organized and dedicated individual to serve as Corporate Officer – an important leadership position that supports good governance, transparency, and legislative compliance. As the Corporate Officer, you’ll manage the preparation of Board agendas and minutes, oversee records and freedom of information requests, guide policy and bylaw development, and ensure that the Regional District meets its statutory obligations under the Local Government Act and other legislation.

This role is ideal for someone who values clear communication, upholding process and public service. You’ll work closely with the CAO, Board of Directors, and staff across all departments, and help foster strong relationships with community partners and other governments. The position is full-time, based in Bella Coola with the option for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, and follows a four-day compressed workweek.

Administrative Assistant

The Central Coast Regional District is hiring a temporary, full-time Administrative Assistant to the end of 2025. The role pays $26 per hour for a 35-hour workweek and involves working closely with the Corporate Officer and Financial Officer. Responsibilities include answering public inquiries, organizing files, scheduling meetings, and helping with general office tasks in both the finance and administration departments.

This position is suited to someone who’s organized, dependable, and comfortable working with both staff and the public. The successful applicant will need basic computer skills and the ability to manage tasks without much supervision. While experience in local government is an asset, applicants with equivalent training or experience will also be considered.
