Open – New Entrant Farm Business Accelerator Program (NEFBA)

The New Entrant Farm Business Accelerator Program (NEFBA) helps new agricultural producers grow their businesses by providing financial support for business planning and development of growth strategies and helps participants with the cost of commercial farm infrastructure and equipment. The goal(s) of the NEFBA Program are to help new farm businesses achieve income growth, ensure commercial viability, and strengthen financial sustainability.

This Phase (1) focuses on developing or updating a business plan and growth strategy using templates provided, either independently (Stream 1) or with the support of a Qualified Business Consultant (Stream 2).

Applications will be open from November 3rd to November 24th, 2025.

To apply for Phase 1, applicants must submit their NEFBA Program application using the “Apply Now” link on the program page. Successful applicants for Phase 1 will be notified by December 2025 if their application was successful and will then have until February 1st 2026, to submit their business plan and growth strategy to be reimbursed.
