PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR DEVELOPMENT VARIANCE PERMIT

TAKE NOTICE THAT an application has been made for a Development Variance Permit (DVP).

Subject Property:

Take notice also that the application affects the property and land within the Central Coast Regional District shown in heavy outline on the accompanying drawing and located at 1572 Brothen Road in Hagensborg, BC.

The property is legally described as LOT 3, PLAN VIP51783, SECTION 2, TOWNSHIP 2, COAST RANGE 3 LAND DISTRICT. A site drawing is included as a postscript to this notice.

The subject property is zoned Large Holdings (R1) and subject to the Central Coast Regional District Zoning Bylaw No. 533.

Purpose:

The applicant seeks a variance from the requirement to extend the Hagensborg Waterworks system along the frontage of their parcel to service a proposed subdivision.

For clarity, the Central Coast Regional District Bella Coola Valley Subdivision Servicing Bylaw No. 72, 1982 requires as a condition of subdivision, that all lots be provided with service connections to a community water system where available. Additionally, Hagensborg Waterworks District Subdivision Water Regulations Bylaw No. 1, 1964, further requires water mains be extended along the frontage of a subject property to allow for future growth and expansion.

Where and When to View the Proposed Permit:

The proposed Development Variance Permit may be inspected between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding holidays, in the office of the Central Coast Regional District, 626 Cliff Street, Bella Coola, B.C. or at www.ccrd.ca.

The Development Variance Permit application will be considered for approval by the Regional District Board at its regular meeting commencing at 2:30 PM., Monday, September 22, 2025, in the Board Room of the Central Coast Regional District, 626 Cliff Street, Bella Coola, B.C. 

Any person(s) wishing to voice their opinions regarding this application may do so in writing, to the Regional District Board, by Tuesday, September 16th, 2025 at 4:00 p.m., at the location indicated above.

THIS NOTICE IS GIVEN IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, R.S.B.C 2015, SECTION 499.
