Airports
CCRD operates two of the four airports within the Central Coast region:
Bella Bella Airport on Campbell Island is operated by the Heiltsuk Economic Development Corporation. There is also a private airstrip located in Wuikinuxv which is operated by the Wuikinuxv Nation.
CCRD’s airport service expenses are covered primarily through user fees and government grants. A very small percentage of this service is recovered via tax requisition in Electoral Areas C, D, and E (Bella Coola Airport), and Area A (Denny Island Airport).
