Elevated Rainfall Warning – Coastal Sections October 27, 2020

Rainfall warning in effect for:

  • Central Coast – coastal sections

A Pacific front has moved onto the central coast producing heavy rain. The front will stall over the region today through Thursday, giving long episode of heavy rain..

The rain will be heaviest today with over 50 mm rainfall amounts expected. Total rainfall amount will likely exceed 200 mm by Thursday afternoon, when the front will finally move to the south and out of the region.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Don’t approach washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
