Join the Conversation on the Future of Waste Management in the Central Coast!
The Central Coast Regional District (CCRD) is updating its Solid Waste Management Plan (SWMP) This is a roadmap that will help guide waste management services across the region for the next 5 to 10 years.
To support this important work, the CCRD is forming a Solid Waste Management Plan Joint Committee (SWMPJC). This advisory committee will bring together residents, businesses, industry representatives, environmental organizations, First Nations, and other stakeholders to help identify key issues and provide feedback throughout the planning process.
We are currently accepting Expressions of Interest from individuals and organizations interested in contributing to the future of waste management in the Central Coast.
When selecting committee members, the CCRD will seek to ensure fair representation by considering:
- Geographic and community diversity across the region
- A balance of technical and non-technical perspectives
- Representation from a variety of sectors and interests
