CENTRAL COAST REGIONAL DISTRICT

NOTICE OF SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

August 6, 2026

The Central Coast Regional District Board will hold a Special Board Meeting on Thursday, August 6, 2026. The meeting will be conducted primarily online, with a public viewing area available at the Central Coast Regional District office, located at 626 Cliff Street, Bella Coola, BC.

The meeting will begin with a closed session at 8:30 a.m. The public portion of the meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will include the previously advertised Public Hearing regarding Bella Coola Valley Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 565, 2026.

The public portion of the meeting will also include consideration of the following matters:

• Request for Decision – Emergency Operations Centre – Expenditure Authorization – Landslide Risk Assessment, Martin Valley, regarding authorization to award a contract;
• Request for Decision – Regional 9-1-1 Emergency Call Service Establishment Bylaw No. 566, 2026 – AAP Results and Next Steps; and
• Bella Coola Valley Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 565, 2026.

The closed portion of the meeting will consider a matter that falls under the following section of the Community Charter:

90 (2) A part of a council meeting must be closed to the public if the subject matter being considered relates to one or more of the following:

(b) the consideration of information received and held in confidence relating to negotiations

(iii) between the municipality and a first nation or a prescribed Indigenous entity, or between a first nation or a prescribed Indigenous entity and a third party.
