Scraps to Soil Waitlist

Scraps to Soil Update

The CCRD’s Scraps to Soil Compost Program continues to make a big impact, thanks to the strong participation of households across the region. Survey results from the indoor FoodCycler units show impressive success: 94% of participants plan to keep using their unit, and 75% reported that the FoodCycler helped them reduce food waste.

The program is already diverting a significant amount of waste. Based on current participation, approximately 34.41 metric tonnes of food waste will be kept out of the landfill each year.

As we move into spring, a small number of indoor units will become available. If you have not yet received a unit, you can add your name to the waitlist.

Thank you to everyone who has participated so far—your efforts are reducing waste, lowering emissions, and helping extend the life of our landfill.
