CCRD WELCOMES NEW CAO
Central Coast Regional District is pleased to welcome its new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Curtis Slingerland. Mr. Slingerland comes to CCRD with significant local government and management experience. He previously served as the Manager of Regulatory Services with the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine, and the Director of Corporate Administration for the City of Revelstoke. Most recently, he served as the Manager of Property Services and Operations for the Canadian Mental Health Association in Salmon Arm. Along with his supervisory, administrative, and operations experience, Mr. Slingerland also brings extensive training and certification in local government functions to his role at CCRD. He holds several local government certificates from Coast Mountain College, University of Victoria, the BC Board of Examiners, and the Justice Institute of BC.
The CCRD Board wishes to express its gratitude to former CAO Courtney Kirk, and wishes her well in her new role as CAO for the Village of Queen Charlotte. The Board also wishes to thank Acting CAO Evangeline Hanuse for her willingness and hard work to fill the CAO role in the interim, until Mr. Slingerland’s official swearing in as CAO at the CCRD public meeting on February 10th.
